Ho-Chunk Nation Gaming Commission shall ensure regulatory compliance in a fair and consistent documented manner while being proactive in the evolution of gaming.
To ensure compliance with the Ho-Chunk Gaming Ordinance, the Ho-Chunk Nation and State of Wisconsin Gaming Compact, The Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, and all gaming regulations in a manner that is just, ethical, and respectful. Our commitment to integrity and transparency will promote an atmosphere of fairness for the facilities, employees, and guests of the Ho-Chunk Nation Gaming Enterprises.
The purpose of the Ho-Chunk Nation Gaming Commission is the independent regulatory authority charged with oversight of the gaming regulatory matters. The Ho-Chunk Nation’s laws provide a statutory basis for the operation of gaming by the Ho-Chunk Nation; promoting tribal economic development, self-sufficiency, and a strong tribal government.
The Ho-Chunk Nation Gaming Commission (Gaming Commission) shall ensure gaming is shielded from organized crime and other corrupting influences. The Gaming Commission shall ensure that the Ho-Chunk Nation is the primary beneficiary of the gaming operations. The Gaming Commission shall ensure that gaming is conducted fairly and honestly by both operators and players.
The Gaming Commission shall provide regulatory training to licensed employees to ensure that licensed employees actions are in conformance with Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), and Tribal/State Gaming Compact, and other gaming regulatory matters under the Ho-Chunk Nation’s laws.
The Gaming Commission shall provide appropriate regulations and rules which will be enforced throughout the jurisdiction of the Ho-Chunk Nation to ensure the close control by the Ho-Chunk Nation Legislature (“Legislature”) over all phases of the conduct of gaming operations on the Ho-Chunk Nation’s sovereign lands.
All Employees working or being hired to work in a gaming position, are required to go through the gaming license process in order to work on the gaming floor.
